DCC 1/16/14: Announcing: Commander Clashes!

Announcing... Saturday Casual Commander Clashes!

Beginning with Saturday, February 8th, and going forward, we will be running Casual Commander Clashes every Saturday (unless the day is packed with another event, such as the Born of the Gods Prerelease events on the first Saturday of February)! 

The times will be at 2:00pm and 6:00pm

How they will work:

-Regular EDH Banned List & Banned Generals rules

-X number of players will sign-up for the event by the start time. Entry fee is FREE.

-We will pair these players randomly into 3-5 player pods at the start of the event
-No time limit, no pressure
-For simply playing, you will receive any snack sold in the store for free ($2 value or less). Note: You must actually play to receive the freebie! If you get eliminated right away, don't worry, we will still give you your snack, and perhaps a second one to soften the blow. 'Cuz that's harsh man.
-That's entirely how it works- no particular extra incentive for winning outside of bragging rights, though you are more than welcome to pool your snacks into a prize for the winner of your game! (mmm...)

We will every-now-and-then give out a neat random door prize for free as well, though the frequency and composition will be completely up to us! We like surprises :-)

We hope for this to be a great way for folks that love the casual Commander format to get in diverse and fun games with new and old faces alike! We are excited to provide a more structured date and start times for Commander to be played here at Curio. Enjoy the free snacks and have fun playing Commander!
