BOARD GAMING LEAGUE NEWS!

This Saturday (12/7/13) introduces Kingsburg and Nothing Personal!

4PM: Kingsburg is a worker placement game that uses a randomized system to determine where you can place your “workers”. Interestingly, the higher your roll, the later your turn order is. The advisors that your “workers” influence give you resources to be able to construct buildings, but watch out! In Winter of each year, you’ll fight a Monster! Can your burgeoning city survive their assault? Can you build a city that the King approves while defending it from the rampages of Monsters?

7PM: Nothing Personal, designed by Tom Vasel (of the Dice Tower board game reviews), is a very interesting worker placement game that uses influence tokens as your workers. You influence gangsters in order to receive the money and respect that they’re worth, but watch out! Too much influence and they’ve attracted the attentions of the Feds and get arrested! The Family with the most Respect at the end of the game wins!
